Labour Market Information
Labour Market Information (LMI)
Choosing a career is easier when you have the right information. Labour Market Information helps students and parents/carers understand which jobs are in demand, what skills employers are looking for, and the opportunities available locally and nationally. By exploring LMI, you can make informed decisions about education, training, and future careers.
Within school, students will be provided with LMI at varying points during the careers programme. Primarily this will be through:
- Form time careers
- Encounters with external providers
- Unifrog tools such as the career profiles and the sector overviews
- Curriculum based resources
In addition to this there are several sources and tools that can be used by students, parents and carers to explore LMI further.
- Unifrog - https://www.unifrog.org
- National Careers Service (NCS) - https://nationalcareers.service.gov.uk/explore-careers
- LMI for all - https://www.lmiforall.org.uk/explore_lmi/learning-units/sources_of_lmi/
